DONNA:

One of the most vivid memories I have of myself as a young girl, is sitting in a blossoming cherry tree, seeing the world through a layered haze of pink gauze. That memory, and an enduring, strong emotional response to the colors, textures, and patterns I observe, have helped to propel me on a journey to study and create, using the mediums of watercolor and pastels. Over the past fifteen years, painting has become a compelling force in my life. From landscapes, to fruits, vegetables, and flowers, the bounty that nature provides us is inspiration for my work. While I paint primarily for myself, I also paint for others to share in the beauty and joy that surrounds us all in our daily lives.

STEVE:

Since my teenage years, I have enjoyed documenting scenes and events, to share with others. In my professional life, that documentary style was drawn, of necessity, into the realm of macro photography. It never ceased to amaze me the interest and enlightenment people would exhibit, when shown a part of their body, all too small and hidden from daily, casual view. This inspired me to develop the skill sets needed to share with people a world revealed by the lens of a camera.
